Sea containers are transport containers for transporting goods, equipped with doors and durable fastenings. Using a sea container significantly reduces the cost of cargo delivery, and the availability of several size options - 20, 40 and 45 feet - allows you to choose a transport unit depending on the specifics of the contents. Our company offers to purchase all three sizes. Characteristics and tables indicating container sizes are presented on the website.

We offer:
Criteria for choosing a sea container
A standard 20-foot container has dimensions of 20" x 8" x 8"6, can withstand a weight of 17,760 kg and is a universal container for transporting goods that do not require special storage conditions. Its larger counterpart - a 40-foot sea container - has dimensions of 40" x 8 "x 8"6" and is designed to carry 26,500 kg.
The characteristics of a 20-foot and 40-foot insulated container are identical to the standard one, but due to the presence of internal lining, it is possible to transport cargo that is sensitive to temperature conditions.
Consol also implements:
- 20 foot refrigerated container with a volume of 26.5 cubic meters. m. and 40-foot containers for 60 cubic meters. m., which are indispensable for the transportation of food products and perishable products;
- 20-foot sea container of the Open Top modification, designed for top loading and loading; its internal dimensions are 19" 4.3" (5415 mm), 7" 4.1" (2205 mm), 7" 8.5" (2280 mm);
- 40-foot High Cube refrigerated container, designed to weigh up to 26,300 kg. Its length is 12.19 m, its height has been increased to 2.90 m, which makes it possible to increase the load.

Types, dimensions, dimensions Andloading standards railway containers
20ft 40ft. Today there are several types
and types of containers, railway containers vary in volume and technical
characteristics. Using a specific container type depends on the cargo transported in it and the method of transportation
roving. Our transport company “Container Shipping Service” sends cargo to universal containers,
most suitable for transporting a wide range of goods.
Universal container can be easily transported door to door by rail, sea and road
transport thanks to standard dimensions and dimensions of the container, weight and special fastenings for rearrangement
container from one mode of transport to another.
Our customers use universal railway containers for transportation of cargo of various characteristics:
household goods and household appliances, fittings and hardware, furniture and building materials, food and equipment, everything and more
list it. In each specific case, before being submitted for loading, the container at the container site is inspected
our representative regarding its quality, integrity and suitability for transportation of this particular cargo.
What cargo can be sent to universal containers You can look in the Freight Directory section.
Universal metal containers, currently transported on Russian Railways, are divided according to
their characteristics for medium-tonnage containers (these containers have already been taken out of circulation and their shipment is impossible) and
large-capacity ( 20 ton, 24 ft and 40 ft).
Small-tonnage containers, with a gross weight of up to 1.25 tons, as well as 10-ton containers, described in the ISO 830-1981 standard, no longer exist.
Dimensions (dimensions) universal railway
containers.
So let's get back to the sizes. universal containers. Since for customers of container shipping the most
internal ones are important dimensions (internal volume) themselves railway containers and doorways, we will give exactly these characteristics,
and also, just as important - lifting capacity everyone container type.
It is very important to comply loading standards for railway containers.
Please note that when planning mechanized loading, you need to take into account the necessary space for
forklift operation in a container. In any case, it is better not to plan loading “tight-fits-all”, since containers
may be slightly deformed and inner dimensions may be slightly smaller than GOST sizes.
If you have any doubts, contact us and we will share our experience.

All sizes 24 t container type internal, in millimeters.
24 ton container differs from 20-ton greater height and lifting capacity. Cost of delivery 20 ton And
24 ton container is the same.
Container dimensions 40 feet(large-tonnage).
All type dimensions container 40 feet internal, in millimeters.

Open container, 20ton and 40ft open top :
In addition to universal containers, there are special open top containers.
Open containers 20 tons and 40 feet needed to send large, heavy cargo that can be loaded
only from above, with a tap.
Hence the name "open top" - that is, a container with an open top. Pallets are loaded into an open container,
large-sized equipment, special equipment, cargo that cannot be loaded in a regular container in height
loader. For loading from a container open top the cover is removed, which can be either made of tarpaulin or something similar
flexible material. Less common open top containers with a hard removable cover - hard top. At the end of the container,
There is a special removable crossbar above the doors. It is made for additional rigidity of the container body
and for the convenience of top loading and unloading.
Usage 20t and 40ft open containers systems open top significantly reduces loading and unloading time,
the amount of labor, as well as the cost of expensive material handling equipment.
Shipping cost open top containers from Yekaterinburg higher than cost
sending universal, closed containers. But in some cases, sending cargo is open
top container can be beneficial - as a cheaper shipping alternative
gondola car over long distances.
For example, the cost of sending Ekaterinburg-Khabarovsk 20 tons up to 30 m3:
- gondola car approx. 46,000 rub.
- 20t open top container about 220,000 rub.
In addition, unlike a gondola car, the container itself arrives at your warehouse on our
car, i.e. your goods undergo fewer cargo operations during the process
transportation.
To a number of stations you can order shipment from us according to the “warehouse-warehouse” scheme, which also
makes it easier for your consignee.

Railway containers are in demand not only for the transportation and storage of goods, but also as cabins, temporary housing, and storage facilities. The dimensions of railway containers determine their purpose and area of use. This equipment is equipped with devices for installation on a railway platform, removal from it, and moving to another vehicle. Its design is capable of protecting the internal space from external mechanical influences and the influence of atmospheric factors. Types of railway containersThe main division of these lifting equipment is by area of application into: universal and specialized. Standard design of universal containers: with rigid walls and floor. The doorway is mainly located at the end, less often - at the side. To transport goods that require special transportation conditions, modified non-self-propelled vehicles are used:
For transportation by rail, two types of containers are mainly used: – with a gross weight of 3 and 5 tons. They have the same height (external) - 2.4 m, but the remaining dimensions of these railway vehicles are different. For a 3-ton container, the outside width is 1.35 m, length – 2.1 m, volume – 4.88 m3, width of a 5-ton container – 2.11 m, length – 2.64 m, volume – 10.26 m3. The design features of standardized means for transportation by rail ensure their convenient movement by forklifts and other equipment, which significantly reduces the cost of work.
